Jensen was the prevalent stock speaker in Fender amps from 1946 through about 1961. So, driving the Twin with any amount of distortion lowers the power handling capacity of the speaker, which makes any speaker more susceptible to damage… even a high-wattage type like the JBL. There is no information readily available for dating Fender amps by serial number but there are people working on it.
